A Place 4 Everything offers an initial consultation for an hour. This is the time spent in your home viewing the area you would like organized and assessing the needs of this space. Once we have agreed upon a system that will fit your lifestyle, we then set a date to get started. It is my goal to create for you a workable design that can be maintained easily and cost effective for your budget.

  • Downsizing and Relocation

    Are you now an emptynester? Have you decided to relocate, move into a smaller home or condo? If you are in need of assistance with downsizing or relocating, allow me to assist you. This is a very difficult taks that many poeple do not enjoy doing alone. Take this opportunity to allow a professional to do the hard work for you. I will assist with the packing, arrange for movers, and organize your unpacked items. In addition, I will make sure your mail has been forwarded and your utilities transferred. Don't go it alone! Trust your professional organizer!

TIPS:

  • When preparing to change your closets for a different season, be sure to have plenty of trash bags, storage containers and supplies to clean the closets.
  • During this process you should seperate your clothing into things to keep, clean or mend and those to donate or trash.
  • Before placing new items into the closet, make sure you clean the closet first.
  • Make sure that you can actually fit these clothes, start a list of things you may need to complete certain outfits.
  • If you are unsure of certain items, hang the hanger inthe opposite direction as the others in an area of the closet for undecided clothing.
  • If by the end of two months those hangers are still facing the opposite direction as the others (you are to change directions if you wear them), you know these are clothes that you are not ever going to wear or be able to fit into again. These can either be donated if gently used or trashed.
  • Store like items together.
  • Utilize the space above and below what is hanging. Don't be afraid to use the space underneath your bed also.
  • Clothing that is worn more frequently should be easily accessible.
